When you run out of allowance you can wait for it to reset at the start of next month, or upgrade for more. Per-file duration limits still apply either way.

Your transcription minutes reset at the start of each calendar month. This is not tied to your billing date. If you run out mid-month you can wait for the reset or upgrade your plan.

Yes. Guests and Free accounts have a daily cap on the number of transcriptions they can run, shown in the plan comparison above. Plus, Pro, and Max plans have no daily limit. Daily counts reset at midnight.

We don’t reject it. Instead, we transcribe the first portion up to your plan’s duration limit and deliver that partial transcript. You’ll see a notice showing how much was transcribed and how to unlock longer files by upgrading.

If your remaining monthly balance can’t cover the full file, we’ll offer to transcribe as much as your balance allows instead of blocking you entirely. You’ll see the offer before processing starts, so you can decide whether to proceed with the partial transcription or wait for your monthly reset.

No. Proofreading works on text only, so it does not consume your transcription minutes. It draws on a separate monthly AI assistant allowance instead, which is also what you spend when you chat with a transcript.

It is a separate monthly allowance for the AI features that work on text rather than audio: proofreading, and chatting with a transcript to find what was said. One allowance covers all of them, so you are never juggling separate counters. It resets at the start of each calendar month, and paid plans include a much larger one. Typical use stays well inside it, and if you do reach it we tell you exactly when it resets.

Yes. Retranscribing a segment re-processes the audio, so the duration of the retranscribed portion is deducted from your monthly allowance and daily count, just like an original transcription.

Yes. Paid plans can be canceled from Manage billing in the account menu. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.

Upgrades take effect immediately — your new limits apply right away. If you downgrade or cancel, you keep your current plan’s benefits until the end of your paid billing period.

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first paid purchase, once per account, with details and exceptions in our Refund Policy and Terms of Service. After that window you can still cancel anytime to avoid future charges. See those pages for how to request a refund or manage billing.

Plain text (TXT) export and copy to clipboard are free for everyone, no account needed. Plus, Pro, and Max add subtitle and structured data exports (SRT, VTT, JSON).

Guest work stays on your device. Free media is normally retained for 7 days and may be removed earlier only during exceptional storage-capacity pressure; transcripts remain. Plus, Pro, and Max media is not automatically removed while the paid plan is active and within quota. Permanent retention is not a separate backup, make sure to keep a copy of the original media on your local storage.
