How to transcribe a Spotify podcast episode
- 1 In Spotify, open the episode, select Share and copy the episode link. It contains /episode/.
- 2 Paste the link above and select "Process Media".
- 3 VocaScript finds the version of the episode that the show publishes outside Spotify and transcribes it, with hosts and guests labeled as separate speakers.

Which Spotify podcasts can I transcribe?
Most podcasts on Spotify are also published through a public feed, and their episodes transcribe from the Spotify link. Shows available only on Spotify have no public version, so their links cannot be transcribed.
Can I paste a link to a whole show?
No. Paste the link to a single episode. A show link, which contains /show/, points to every episode at once.
Why did my Spotify episode fail?
The most common reason is that the show is only on Spotify, so there is no public version of the episode to transcribe. It can also happen when the episode in the public feed has a different length from the one on Spotify. If you publish the show yourself, upload the episode file instead.
Can I use a link from another podcast app instead?
Yes. The same episode's link from Apple Podcasts, the show's website or a direct MP3 file transcribes the same way, and often more reliably than a Spotify link.
How long can a Spotify episode be?
Without an account, one transcription covers up to 5 minutes of each episode. A free account covers up to 25 minutes per transcription, within 120 minutes per month, and you can continue a longer episode from where its transcript stopped. Paid plans cover up to 4 hours per transcription on Plus, 8 hours on Pro and 16 hours on Max.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
