Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about using VocaScript.
Which TikTok posts can I transcribe?
Video posts transcribe reliably from their link. Photo posts and slideshows cannot be transcribed, since they contain no video and usually only a music track.
Do links copied from the TikTok app work?
Yes. App links such as vm.tiktok.com/... and vt.tiktok.com/... lead to the full video address, which is what gets transcribed.
Why did my TikTok link fail?
The usual reasons are a photo post or slideshow instead of a video, a video that was removed, or a video that only plays for signed-in viewers. For the last case, the browser extension transcribes the video from your own signed-in session.
Can I transcribe a whole TikTok profile?
No. Profile pages and other pages that list many videos are not accepted. Paste the link to each video you want transcribed.
Can I reuse a TikTok transcript as captions elsewhere?
Yes. Paid plans export SRT and VTT files with the original timing, which YouTube and most video editors accept. The free TXT export works for scripts, descriptions and blog posts.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
