Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about using VocaScript.
Why did my Loom link fail?
Share links transcribe reliably when anyone with the link can view the video. A failed link usually means the video is limited to your workspace or to specific people, which needs a sign-in. Change its sharing to anyone with the link, or save the video and upload it on the video file page.
What do teams use Loom transcripts for?
Written guides, support articles and meeting notes made from Loom walkthroughs. Timestamps make it easy to point from a step in the text to the moment in the video.
Can I add captions to a Loom video?
Paid plans export SRT and VTT files you can use as captions wherever you publish the recording. The free plan exports the transcript as TXT.
How long can a Loom video be?
Without an account, one transcription covers up to 5 minutes of each video. A free account covers up to 25 minutes per transcription, within 120 minutes per month, and you can continue a longer video from where its transcript stopped. Paid plans cover up to 4 hours per transcription on Plus, 8 hours on Pro and 16 hours on Max.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
