Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about using VocaScript.

Why did my X link fail?
Usually because the post has no video of its own: it holds only text or images, or quotes another post that has the video. Open the post with the video and copy that link. A link to a profile, or to a deleted post, fails as well.
Can I transcribe an X Space?
Yes, once the Space has ended and the host kept the recording. Copy the Space link and paste it above. The link contains /i/spaces/, and hosts and speakers are labeled separately.
How long can an X video be?
Without an account, one transcription covers up to 5 minutes of each video. A free account covers up to 25 minutes per transcription, within 120 minutes per month, and you can continue a longer video from where its transcript stopped. Paid plans cover up to 4 hours per transcription on Plus, 8 hours on Pro and 16 hours on Max.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
