Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about using VocaScript.

Why does my LinkedIn event link not work?
An event link points to the event page, not to a video. Once the event has a recording, copy the link of the post that contains the video.
What is a LinkedIn video transcript useful for?
Turning a video post into an article or newsletter, quoting a talk accurately, adding captions before reposting your own video, and keeping searchable notes of webinars and panels.
Why did my post link fail?
Usually because the post only shows its video to signed-in viewers, or because the link points to an event, a profile or a company page instead of a post. For posts that need a sign-in, play the video in your browser and select "Record Tab Audio" in the VocaScript extension. The recording is transcribed like any uploaded file.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
