How to transcribe an Apple Podcasts episode
- 1 In Apple Podcasts, open the episode, select the share button and copy the link.
- 2 Check that the link contains ?i= followed by a number. That part identifies the episode; without it, the link points to the whole show.
- 3 Paste the link above and select "Process Media". Hosts and guests are labeled as separate speakers.

Why does my Apple Podcasts link not work?
The most common reason is a link to the whole show instead of one episode. Open the episode itself and copy its link, which contains ?i= and a number.
How do I copy the link on an iPhone?
In the Podcasts app, press and hold the episode, select Share Episode, then Copy Link. Paste it here in your phone browser, or send it to your computer.
Does it matter whether I found the episode in the app or on the website?
No. Apple Podcasts plays episodes from the show's public feed, and that is the audio VocaScript transcribes, whether you found the episode at podcasts.apple.com or in the app on iPhone or Mac.
How long can an Apple Podcasts episode be?
Without an account, one transcription covers up to 5 minutes of each episode. A free account covers up to 25 minutes per transcription, within 120 minutes per month, and you can continue a longer episode from where its transcript stopped. Paid plans cover up to 4 hours per transcription on Plus, 8 hours on Pro and 16 hours on Max.
Can I transcribe several episodes?
Yes, one link at a time. Without an account you can run 3 transcriptions per day; a free account allows 15 transcriptions per day, within 120 transcription minutes per month. Paid plans have no daily limit.
Is VocaScript free, and do I need an account?
Yes. You can transcribe without an account. A free account gives you more minutes, longer transcriptions and your transcripts on every device. If you reach a limit as a guest, sign in and try again from the same page.
